Luv-N-Bunns utilizes a network of foster homes to house the animals until they are adopted into a permanent home or in the event they are unadoptable, they are fostered until they can be moved into a rabbit sanctuary.  Foster care provides the animals with a home in which they can receive socialization and rebuild the trust of the animal.  A big part of our goal is to educate pet owners and to work with them to find a solution to their pet’s problems so that are not surrendered to the local shelters.

Luv-N-Bunns rabbits will be examined by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered and socialized prior to adoption.  All veterinary care is billed directly to Luv-N-Bunns so our foster families do not incur any cost for providing veterinary treatment.

Luv-N-Bunns volunteers will patrol the local shelters weekly to locate rabbits who may need some medical intervention and some socialization in order to become adoptable and that would otherwise be euthanized for no reason other than lack of room at the shelter.  Without our weekly assessment of the animals in the shelters, many of these animals would be euthanized because the shelter does not have the available help to provide for daily medical treatment or does not have the knowledge of how to properly handle and socialize a rabbit.
